Ambassador Akram Zeynalli met with Deputy Minister of Chinese State Tourism Administration, Du Jiang
On October 19, Ambassador Akram Zeynalli met with the Deputy Minister of Chinese State Tourism Administration, Du Jiang. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and perspectives of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and China in the field of tourism.
Chinese official said that China sees Azerbaijan as one of the key partners in the field of tourism and is always ready for cooperation in this direction. Deputy Minister also added that Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev played a significant role as the chairman of the Executive Committee of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization held in Chengdu, China.
Ambassador Akram Zeynalli in his turn noted that there is great potential for further development of bilateral relations in tourism, as there are direct flights between Azerbaijan and China, as well as simplified visa regime for Chinese tourists since 2016.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed the possible signing of the relevant document on the implementation of large-scale tourism exchange between China and Azerbaijan, and both sides expressed their interest in signing the document in the nearest future.
