An international conference on the role of the Trans-Caspian International East-West Trade and Transit Corridor in realizing the “Belt and Road Initiative” was held in Beijing.

On 6 February 2018, an international conference on the role of the Trans-Caspian International East-West Trade and Transit Corridor in realizing the “Belt and Road Initiative” was held in Beijing, China.

The conference was initiated and organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China with the support of the Embassies of Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkey to the People’s Republic of China, as well as, the Ministry of Commerce of China and was aimed at promoting the Trans-Caspian International East-West Trade and Transit Corridor.

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Shahin Mustafayev, Vice Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Wang Shouwen, Vice-General Manager of China Railway Li Wenxin, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Cherkezishvili, First Deputy Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Roman Sklyar and Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Yuksel Coshkunyurek and other high level delegates delivered a speech in the event.
