“The Evening of Azerbaijani Music” was held in Beijing with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

In Beijing, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China, the China People’s Friendship Association with Foreign Countries hosted a concert program called “Evening of Azerbaijani Music”.

Among the audience of the concert, which is one of the events carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the popularization and propaganda of Azerbaijani culture abroad, were leaders and officials of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China People’s Friendship Association with Foreign Countries, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Vladimir Norov, ambassadors of Turkey, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Austria, Luxembourg and several other countries in Beijing, diplomats, scientists, representatives of the Beijing public, Azerbaijanis living and studying in the country.

Speaking before the concert, Ambassador of our country in Beijing Mr. Akram Zeynalli said that in recent years, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and China have been developing in an ascending direction in all directions.

Touching upon humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, Ambassador Akram Zeynalli spoke about cooperation, the basis of which was laid by the Memorandum of Understanding, signed two years ago, between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the China People’s Friendship Association with Foreign Countries.

It was noted that this document also includes the holding of various events aimed at even greater rapprochement of our friendly peoples and the mutual popularization of cultures.  It is no coincidence that a joint concert of the Azerbaijani-Chinese friendship took place in Beijing last December.  A concert entitled “Azerbaijan Musical Evening” also contributes to the continuation of this tradition and the wide dissemination of Azerbaijani culture in China.

It was noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed by the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, plays an invaluable role in the worthy representation and promotion of Azerbaijani culture abroad.Then the scene was provided to the art masters of Azerbaijan. The famous Azerbaijani musical groups Amarok and Talent performed Azerbaijani folk and original songs, wonderful national dances.

 The audience greeted the performances of art masters of Azerbaijan with applause.
